Who makes Iranian music better? Is it the Iranians living in Iran or is it the Iranians outside of Iran (particularly the LA-based singers)? This question has resulted in a friendly debate among the Iranian community.
For those of you avid listeners of Iranian music, you know what your opinion is. However for those of you who don’t really follow Iranian music and want to see what this whole debate is about I have included a very small sample to help you decide
IN IRAN:
Tataloo, Rezaya, Tohi, Tomeh | Mehdi Assadi | Sasy Mankan feat. Radin Band | Mohsen Yeganeh | Mohsen Chavoshi
OUTSIDE OF IRAN:
Valy | Arash | Shahab Tiam | Mehrshad | Afshin

Of course those in Iran,
They are so many of them that there is a higher chance to find a real musician.
Singers is US are most likley in business for the business of it.(except the older generation)
Those kids in Iran wont make much money.
But they make music.
For sure I agree with nima, but there are a few descent people here as well… unfortunately, the industry turns into a mafia everywhere and we have people like combiz who probably wouldn’t have made his high school’s choir, shown on the same channels and networks as people like Siavash Ghomeishi. Shahram and Shahbal Shabpareh’s music also produce true music, but unfortunately the way they present it (some of the lyrics and videos) lowers my IQ… anytime I watch.
