Iranican was founded in 2005 operating on iranican.com and features the following:

• Iranican صدای

A radio talk-show that explores a host of cultural issues from various perspectives,. Bound by no rules and no agenda, Iranican صدای on-air personalities can be heard weekly on podcast here or on Radio Javan.

• Iranican Reports

Video segments featuring major cultural events and festivals in cities across the North American continent including Berkeley, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Toronto. You can watch all Iranican Reports Here.

• Events

NeekOn – an art and multicultural festival held in San Francisco every other year, the first festival was help in September of 2015, see www.neekon.org for more info.

Norooz at the City Hall – An annual celebration of nature’s re-birth and the Iranian new year held at the beautiful San Francisco City Hall.

History
Iranican was founded by students and college graduates in 2005 as a TV lifestyle show, it was revamped in 2007 as a web-based organization with Iranican Reports. In 2008, Iranican launched ‘Iranican Live’ as a biweekly podcast on Radio Javan and in 2013 it recreated it as a weekly program called Sedaye Iranican. Its team experiments with info-taining visual and sound media in the effort to reach the younger generation. Iranican’s view is that culture is anything but static. That is why it strives for entertainment and education, approaching communal issues with bold audacious perspectives.
